Ok, I know it’s not exactly milkshake weather in some parts of the world. I will admit that my “Canadian card” is probably going to get revoked as I joined Californians this week and complained of the cold. I got my jeans out for the first time since last winter and even had to wear light long-sleeved shirts a couple of days.

In my attempt to reject cold weather, I made milkshakes. Super delicious… and I had to put a hoodie on after drinking it. Totally worth it though. Another reason to make this smoothie is because it’s not cold everywhere and I can’t help but notice that a lot of people reading my blog don’t live in places that are cold right now. They are going into summer, so I dedicate this recipe to them! And those who are in denial of the cold weather πŸ˜‰

Milkshake (serves 2)
2 frozen bananas
1 can of coconut milk (stored in the fridge overnight)
3 dates
1 heaping tbsp of crunchy almond butter
4 ice cubes (optional, but will help with thicken the shake)
a pinch of sea salt

Add all ingredients to the blender & blend!

That’s it – basically 5 ingredients and less than 5 minutes and you have a delicious, less indulgent & delicious treat.

  1. I love eating ice cream in winter, I don’t know why because I generally hate being cold!
Of course it if summer here… not even, it is technically still spring, but we are having a 34 degree day here… that is celcius.

  2. Yay πŸ˜€ loving this milkshake! This is sooo what I need right now to cool down! I love how easy it is – I just need to replenish my stock of frozen bananas (I ran out :( ).
