Honest Blogging and my ED story

I can count the few people on one hand who know a secret of mine. I’ve lied. I’ve brushed it off. I have denied my problem in the past for so long.

I’ve struggled with an Eating Disorder most of my life. And I’ve read many stories of people facing their problems head on and getting the help they need, I want my story to do the same for you. You are not alone.

With the inspiration and motivation from Gena of Choosing Raw, I’m sharing my story with you today.

Whatever your struggle is, I hope you find the strength to come out on the other side bolder, fiercer, braver and kinder.

  1. Hi Kimmy,
I found your story through Choosing Raw and I wanted to say how grateful I am to you for having shared it. Your story and experience resonate with my own, and I really appreciate your honesty about Eating Disorder recovery. In the past I have felt a lot of shame and I have preferred to keep things quiet but from reading your story I am inspired to keep going with open communication with my family and friends. I also want to love my curves too!
    Thank you again.

    1. Thank you for the kind words Laetitia =) I know all too well that it is a tough thing to talk about and there is a lot of stigma surrounding Eds, but I think it’s healthier for us to talk about our problems.
I wish you well with your recovery!
