Healthy Vegan Fridays #131

Happy Friday HVFers! I hope you are gearing up for a wonderful weekend with friends & loved ones, whether you celebrate the holidays or not – I wish you a wonderful weekend! After a series of unfortunate events (nothing too serious!), I am going to break from blogging next week to relax and reset. HVF will still of course be on next week =)

This picture was taken our first Christmas spent in California a couple of years ago =)

Before we head on down to Healthy Vegan Town, take a moment to fill out Mary Ellen’s 2016 Reader Survey for her blog.  This will help make her blog even better (if that’s possible!).

Never heard of Healthy Vegan Fridays before? It’s an amazing weekly linkup for bloggers to share their delicious and healthy vegan food. This linkup is not restricted to recipes though – feel free to share your posts on exercise & fitness, plant-based health & wellness,  and/or vegan travel, restaurant and cookbook reviews.

Don’t have a blog? Don’t worry! You can come and see what others have shared and find some tasty food to try!

Let’s check out some of our favs from last week.

Strength & Sunshine’s Homemade Cinnamon Ornaments:

You know me – I’m a sucker for homemade gifts. What’s better than an edible homemade holiday gift? One you can keep! These are so cute! And with only 2 ingredients, super simple to make and easy on the budget.

Peppermint Nice Cream from Running in a Skirt:

PEPPERMINT! Although I am not a fan of cold things during the winter (I have been struggling with getting my smoothies in), but I can manage cold things when it comes to peppermint! And chocolate. And the combo is dynamite. I can’t wait to try this =)

Kimchi Seitan Sausages from Allotment 2 Kitchen:

I love making my own things and sausage is something I have not yet tried. This sounds way better than the store bought variety. And the spices and seasoning sound interesting & delicious.

Multi Grain Morsels from Delicioso:

These marvelous morsels are packed full of great things, making them filling. The spices would give them a great taste. They make a great main for a quick weeknight dinner!

Mary Ellen is sharing her 12 Bloggers’ Favourite Christmas Movies & Vegan Treats:

This is great for some last minute treat ideas for the coming weekend. AND gives you a list of things to binge watch during the break =)

I’m sharing a recipe from last year, my Chocolate Coconut Peppermint Cake:

A little labour intensive, but worth the effort for the “wow” effect when served to friends & family.

We’d love it if you link up and bring some friends to the party! We’ll be pinning and sharing your tasty treats on social media!
