Sorry I’ve been so MIA this week. I have been having a fun visit with my mama =) I am behind on blogging… I may feel like a bit of a broken record here 😉 Nobody’s perfect, right? Yesterday was bittersweet seeing her off at the airport. I miss her buckets already, but I’m lucky enough to be able to see her again early next year. Here’s a picture of us in Carmel, California:

Johanna made this super fancy lunch with her brother. Something I have never splurged on is truffle oil – this recipe is the perfect reason to splurge. I think the tempeh sausage and cashew cheese would really take a dinner party to the next level.
Tiramisu from Katering for Veggies:
Who wants to bake in this heat??? Not me ;p This awesome raw take on an old favourite sounds dee-licious. I was never much of a fan of tiramisu, but this vegan, no-bake, alcohol-free, gluten-free version sounds right up my alley!
Stuffed Patty Pan Squash from Running in a Skirt:
Who knew stuffed food cute be so cute?! Double points for growing the patty pan in her own backyard! I love how easy these sound to throw together… and well, anything with mushrooms is my favourite =)
Fruit Toast from Courtney’s Cookbook:
I know summer is supposed to be more relaxed… but it’s just not always like that. I’ve been finding myself in a mad rush out the door in the morning with blended smoothie in hand. But sometimes a girl needs a little more sustenance but doesn’t have the time for complicated, long recipes. Enter fruit toast!!
