Healthy Vegan Fridays #106

Happy Friday! I hope you are gearing up for a fantastic long weekend filled with sun, fun, friendly & family. Put on the sunscreen, stay hydrated & be safe! Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canucks & Happy 4th of July to my Yankee Doodles.

Let’s get down to business!

Never heard of Healthy Vegan Fridays before? It’s an amazing weekly linkup for bloggers to share their delicious and healthy vegan food. This linkup is not restricted to recipes though – feel free to share your posts on exercise & fitness, plant-based health & wellness,  and/or vegan travel, restaurant and cookbook reviews.

Don’t have a blog? Don’t worry! You can come and see what others have shared and find some tasty food to try!

Let’s check out some of last week’s awesome sauce recipes!

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Popsicles from Running in a Skirt:

Hello, summer! These pops embody everything I love about summer food. Cold, refreshing, and CHOCOLATE! I love how this would actually be a great recovery snack after a run. I’ll be making these and keeping them in the freezer for those long runs =)

Pumpkin & Apricot Tangine from Green Gourmet Giraffe:

pumpkin and apricot tangine (6)

I’ve been finding it too warm to make stews, but I’m enjoying making hot food and having the cold leftovers. I think this would be especially good warm or cold with the apricot flavour.

Grilled Green Goddess Wraps from Strength & Sunshine:

How pretty are these??? Only Rebecca could make a bunch of green goodies piled in a wrap look good! I have been totally craving green things being back from vacation this week – looks like the perfect wrap to enjoy this weekend =)

15 Chia Pudding Recipes You Need To Try from Veggie Quest:

Anyone else make the same old boring chia pudding over & over again? Guilty! Here are several different ways to get out of that funk and try out some new recipes. I’m totally eyeing up the chocolate chia pudding & the carrot orange chia pudding. My lime chia pudding makes an appearance =)

This week, Mary Ellen is sharing her gorgeous Patriotic Smoothie Bowl:

And I’m sharing my Green Goddess Bowl:

We’d love it if you link up and bring some friends to the party! We’ll be pinning and sharing your tasty treats on social media!

  1. Happy Canada Day, Kimmy, and happy 4th Mary Ellen! Loving the green goddess bowl (that pic makes me want to dive right in) and smoothie bowl–so festive!

  2. Happy Canada Day! Yum! There are so many great ideas for delectable vegan dishes to make at this party! I shared my Creamy Craving Busting Miso Tahini Spread. Thanks for hosting this fun and fab party!

  3. I definitely have to try chia pudding… I’m sure I’ll like it but my husband simply wouldn’t, which is why I’ve been putting it off. These look so good! I’ll do your kiwi one first, I promise! 😉

    Happy 4th of July Kimmy!

    1. You haven’t tried chia pudding? Oooh once you start, you can’t go back. It’s so good! It’s super easy to make single-serve pudding. Terry isn’t much for it either. Silly boys.
      Happy Canada Day Kate!

  4. Happy Canada Day and 4th! So many delicious recipes I’m wishing I wasn’t currently “out of the kitchen”.
Had a giggle about the same old chia pudding since my oldest loves chia everything and gets in her I need the same thing and then when I stock up on let’s say bananas because that’s the “flavor of the week” and then she decides to finally change things up but not tell me.

    1. Happy 4th Sarah! They will all be waiting for you when you are back in the kitchen… but by then, it’ll be time for new recipes ;p
Haha, your daughter sounds great =) I love that she loves chia everything!

    1. Your tangine sounds really delicious and unique. I love the sound of it Johanna.
The holidays aren’t too busy, which is nice. It’s giving me much needed catch up time on blogging ;p

  5. HI Kimmy! Sorry for the delay in getting over here to thank you… but thank you so much for featuring my popsicles!!! You are the best. Love your features this week.
Your green goddess bowl looks amazing. Right up my alley.
My recipe this week had cheese on the portobello, but you could easily sub avocado for the cheese. It’s a really good portobello burger!

    1. Your popsicles totally sound like the bomb. I have them bookmarked to make soon! I can’t wait to try them =)
Avo would be a great sub for cheese. I LOVE porto burgers, I will definitely be checking it out. Thanks Julie and have a great weekend!
