Before we get down to recipe time, I have a very exciting announcement! The rumours are true! We are excited to announce a vegan prom in the bay area. Mark your calendars for the Bay Area Soirée happening March 5, 2016 at the Women’s Building in San Francisco from 7:30-10:30pm. We hope this will be a truly memorable event for the vegan community. We want to share a night filled with great music, fantastic food and dancing with you. Get involved by casting your vote for the theme (the polls close December 6th, so be quick like a cheetah!).
But wait, there’s more! Not only are we hosting an awesome vegan prom – we are raising funds for the Humane League. This year, all proceeds from the vegan prom ticket sales will be donated to The Humane League. With an office in San Francisco, The Humane League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving animals’ lives and reducing as much animal cruelty as possible.
Tickets go on sale January 1, 2016! Ticket prices will be $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
All of the info for the prom can be found on our website www.bayareasoiree.com.
Now, down to business.
Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is around the corner! Time sure is flying by. I’m like hearing the holiday music and seeing lights strung about. Annnd treats! I’m hosting a treat exchange this weekend and am super excited to see what people bring. I’ll share pictures (and recipes!) next week. In the meantime, let’s see what treats you have to share =)
First, we’ll check out some of last weeks awesome recipes.
Stuffing with Kale & Tofu Bacon from Green Gourmet Giraffe:
This is exactly the kind of food I’m craving right now. Warm, comfort food. Johanna gave a traditional American dish a try with this delicious sounding stuffing. Despite not having Thanksgiving where she is in Australia, she nails it. It actually sounds better than any other stuffing recipe I’ve seen. Yum!
Crustless Mini Pumpkin Pies from Healthy Helper Blog:
Ah more holiday themed food. I’m loving it =) These are completely adorable. This is a sweet treat without the guilt. It has everything you need to please your sweet tooth, but isn’t super indulgent. Kaila strikes a perfect balance with this.
And you guys liked my Hamburger Helper Knockoff. That made my week!!! =D
This week, I’m sharing my Creamy Dreamy Cheezy Cauliflower Soup.
So link on up and don’t forget to link back. Bring some friends to share in the fun! Have a great weekend and see you next week.
