Sending mom love from 2,500 miles away this Mother’s Day. Although we don’t see each other much since I moved from Ontario, Canada to Northern California, we still talk on the phone and have Sunday skype tea dates (yes – we are that cute). Just wanted to give mom a shout out on the blog even though we can’t be together in person.
This was taken in November of 2003. Mom was angry at the whole head-shaving episode haha, but she kind of liked it after it was all said and done. Side note – I shaved my hair for donation purposes to the pediatric division of the Canadian Cancer Society to have a wig made for a child cancer patient (didn’t just shave it off for fun ;p).
We’ve had our ups and downs over the years, but we’ve been through a lot together and always come out stronger. She’s the most thoughtful and caring person I know and I’m glad she passed on some of those great qualities to me.
I’m lucky enough to have my mom-in-law up to celebrate with =)
This was taken in 2008 at Easter.
People always make mother-in-law jokes, especially the mom of the husband. I am one of those fortunate people that doesn’t have that issue. My mom in law is so nice & sweet. We get along so well!
And well this is about as close to being a mom as I’m going to get:
Me and my Sunny-girl. I’d like to think I’m a good mom to her =)
To all you moms & moms to be out there – you’re doing a great job – keep it up! Happy Mother’s Day.
